If you thought the short clip of the all-new 2012 BMW M5 reaching 300km/h (187mph) on the German Autobahn was cool, wait until you get a load of this clip.
What you’re about to watch is footage from a steering-wheel mounted camera -hence the wobbly picture- of a specially modified BWM Z3 racecar accelerating from zero to a little over 340km/h (211mph+) in less than 20 seconds.
As you may have imagined, this is no ordinary Z3 Coupe as it is fitted with a 5.0-liter V10 engine sourced from the previous M5 saloon / M6 Coupe & Cabriolet models, delivering 530HP and 600Nm (442.5 lb-ft) of peak torque.
If the vehicle sounds familiar, that’s because you may have read our previous article detailing the project which is the work of Denislav Shishev, who was just 18-years-old when he begun building the car last year.
