Among the hundreds of cars that are on display at the 2011 SEMA, one stood out: it was the Chevrolet Camaro that received the SEMA Award for the “hottest car” of this year’s edition of the Las Vegas aftermarket show.
The Camaro received the award for being the most accessory-friendly car of the 2011 SEMA, based on the number of aftermarket parts available in the exhibition.
This is the second consecutive time that the Camaro wins this award. And as it was established only last year, Chevy’s pony car is also the only one to have received it.
“After more than two years on the market, the Camaro continues to inspire creativity and Chevrolet is thrilled to see that expressed in all the wonderfully personalized examples here at the SEMA show”, said Chris Perry, vice president, Global Chevrolet Marketing and Strategy.
Apart from the numerous independent exhibitors, Chevrolet has also brought its own special versions of the Camaro to Las Vegas that ranged from the ZL1 Carbon Concept to the COPO NHRA drag racer.
