You’d think that 457-ponies under the hood of any family car let alone a station wagon would be enough to get any enthusiast excited, but Mercedes-Benz believes otherwise and has ordered its AMG division to prepare a Black Series edition of the C63 AMG Estate.

Behind that mismatched front bumper are the same hardware upgrades found on the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, and which include a modified 6.2-liter V8 engine pushing out 517HP and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of peak torque, an increase of 60HP and 20Nm over the regular model.

A retuned seven-speed dual-clutch AMG Speedshift transmission with faster gear changes will handle the delivery of all that power to the larger 19-inch alloy wheels on the rear axle.

Like the Coupe, the C63 AMG Estate Black Series will also feature upgraded suspension components and wider front and rear tracks plus upsized brakes to improve handling.

The final touch will come from the new aero kit that includes bespoke front and rear bumpers, different side skirts and flared wheel arches that house the larger wheels.

The C63 AMG Estate Black Series will be joined by a sedan model, which we had the chance to spy back in October.
