We know what some of you may be thinking upon viewing the pictures, and to answer your first question, no, this is not Acura’s upcoming ILX luxury compact model that is slated to debut in Detroit in January. Instead, it’s one of those bizarre creations we occasionally find over at the crazy world of Craigslist.
Much like the Saab 900S Convertible turned into a Cadillac of some sorts that we showed you last week, this 1999 Honda Civic Coupe is supposed to resemble a BMW.
In fact, the seller of the car goes as far as to yell with all caps on that it has been “CONVERTED TO A 2011 E92 M3” though he or she later clarifies that the “ENGINE AND SUSPENSION IS NON MODIFIED- THE CAR IS COMPLETELY STOCK”.
The conversion to an M3 apparently stopped at the BMW 3-Series-sourced kidney grilles and front bumper along with the reshaped hood.
And if you’re still not convinced, the Civic has also been adorned with a custom paint job featuring “BLUE CANDY FLAMES WITH SKULL”.
The list price of the Civic M3 Coupe is $2,999.
