It has become something of a tradition for Jeep to play around with its Wrangler models by constantly presenting either limited edition production versions or specially themed concepts.
At this year’s Salon Nautique de Paris (or the 2011 Paris Nautical Show in plain English), Jeep premiered a pair of concept models that are based on the four-door Wrangler Unlimited and inspired by the world of sailing and yachting.
Both the Wrangler Nautic Blanche (White) and Wrangler Nautic Noire (Black) were created with the help of French design studio, Style & Design.
The Wrangler Nautic Blanche pays homage to the world of sailing and is featured with a white body and matching interior colors, while there’s also plenty of decorative wooden trim inside and out. The concept also comes with its own pair of canvas chairs and a tent mounted on the rear roof bar.
The darker Wrangler Nautic Noir is to have a strong reference to luxury yachts, though aside from the black colors and slightly different seating décor, it features the same modifications and extras as the white-colored concept.
Jeep said that for the time being, both models remain purely conceptual studies with no plans for production.
