Nissan UK’s move to shoehorn the GT-R’s twin-turbocharged V6 and all-wheel drive system into the conceptual Juke-R may have very well opened Pandora’s box giving independent tuning firms the confidence and a motive to create their own hi-po versions of the Japanese brand’s small crossover.

Fox Marketing just announced that it’s working on a new tune for the Nissan Juke that will be introduced in the coming months as part of the celebrations for the company’s 12th year of creating custom cars.

“When we first saw the Nissan Juke-R that Nissan UK built, we where blown away,” said the tuner. “But, to build a vehicle like the Juke-R you are talking a seven figure build budget.”

So what was Fox Marketing’s answer to this problem? The tuner decided to heavily modify the Juke’s standard powertrain with the 1.6-liter engine gaining a huge turbo/intercooler upgrade pushing output to 400 horsepower.

Along with the engine, Fox Marketing says it will also add a new brake system with 14inch 6 piston calipers, 20-inch wheels and a more aggressive aero package plus some interior improvements such as the Yonaka Ronin racing seats up front.
