The 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March will host the world premiere of an all-new Mitsubishi model and this is the first official teaser image.

The Japanese automaker does not name the model but it describes it as a “strategic and innovative premium vehicle will reflect a gradual transformation in Mitsubishi’s design language,” adding that it will go on sale globally this year.

In this image, we get a peek at the front end of the vehicle, which looks awfully similar to Mitsubishi’s Concept PX-MiEV II crossover that made its debut appearance at the Tokyo Motor Show last month. The study is believed to preview the next generation of the Outlander that is due for a replacement.

Mitsubishi said that the new model is part of its “Jump 2013” business plan that calls for greener vehicles with a re-focused design language and a global availability.
