The upcoming 82nd Geneva International Auto Salon will host the world premiere of the new generation Cee’d, which is Kia’s entry in the oh-so popular European C-segment with competitors like the VW Golf and Toyota Auris.

However, the South Korean automaker’s plans don’t stop with the hatchback model as Kia has already begun testing a minivan version that will fight against the likes of the Renault Scenic.

Spied here while undergoing cold weather testing, Kia’s as-of-yet unnamed MPV will use a modified version of the Cee’d’s platform shared with the Hyundai i30 (called the Elantra GT in North America).

Hyundai is also preparing a similar MPV for Europe and other markets. In fact, if you compare our previous spy shots of the Hyundai MPV to these pictures, you’ll discover that the two models share much more in common that you might think as their bodies look alike as well.

And while we can’t be absolutely sure, if these scoop pictures are anything to go by, then the main differences between the two MPVs may only concern the styling of the front and rear ends as well as the interiors.
