After breaking the world record for the fastest Nissan R35 GT-R at the Texas Mile event last October with its Alpha 12 model that reached a top speed of 216.9mph (349km/h), AMS Performance has shuttered yet another record.
This time, the aftermarket-tuning house brought its new Alpha Omega GT-R, which was recently dyno’ed at 1,602 all-wheel horsepower with a maximum torque of 1,152 lb-ft (1,562Nm), to the drag strip.
The monstrous R35 completed the quarter mile sprint in a blazingly fast 8.6263 seconds with an exit speed of 173.8mph (279.7km/h) on the first run of the day, setting a new world record, according to AMS Performance.
