After the retro-flavored styling kit for the Porsche 997, Swedish car designer Bo Zolland has now turned his attention towards a new build based on a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe.

“We made extensive body mods, but kept the Camaro looks. The roof section is original,” Zolland told Carscoop in an email.

The customized ’68 Camaro will feature extensive mechanical upgrades including a supercharged LS3 V8 engine and a variety parts from the 2010 Corvette such as the braking system and suspension bits.

Zolland said that his company’s goal is to have the car ready for the 2012 SEMA show, which takes place in Las Vegas at the end of October.

For now, take a peek at the renderings of the ’69 Camaro in different colors and themes in the gallery that follows below.
