While not on the radar of most collectors, vintage Japanese automobiles are slowly gaining followers in the States.
Found on eBay is this 1975 Datsun 620 pickup truck that has been restored but not to its original condition – at least not mechanically.
The owner of the relatively rare today 620 fitted the small truck with a 215 c.i. (3.5-liters) Buick small block V8 linked to a new all-wheel drive system, while he also jacked up the suspension.
The current bid on eBay is US$8,800, though the reserve has not been met. The auction ends on March 15. If you follow the jump, you’ll find a gallery of photos along with the seller’s more detailed description.

The engine is the legendary all aluminium 215 small block Buick which is fitted with Holley Projection electronic fuel injection. The engine has been properly built and sounds fantastic.
The Dual transmission and transfer case is equally trick it features a Hurst shifter, with a Dana 44 rear end and a Dana 30 front end.
This spectacular machine is finished in Dupont Imron paint everywhere and the underneath is as clean as the top. It’s a detail away from being show ready and could not be duplicated for 3 times our reserve. This very special machine is only for sale due to a change of direction so is very reasonably reserved… inspections and test drives are welcome and all questions will be happily answered….
