What you see here is a craftily cropped image of the new 2013 Ram 1500 truck that will receive its world premiere at the 2012 New York International Auto Show next Thursday.
Ram didn’t name the truck in its press release, but we already know that the company is planning to show the new 1500 in the Big Apple and that it will debut the firm’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 producing around 280-horses connected to an 8-speed automatic.
The new powerplant will replace the current model’s outdated 210hp 3.7-liter V6 linked to a 4-speed automatic.
The Detroit automaker said it will build anticipation for the truck with a new campaign called “A Giant Awaits” that will utilize social networks such as Twitter and Facebook to spread the word around by publishing one teaser photo per day through April 4.
