The next generation Q7 isn’t the only crossover model Audi is working on these days as our eagle-eyed scoop photographers filtered through the cleverly placed camouflage and spotted this facelifted Q5 while testing in Europe.
If you take closer look at the pictures that follow in the gallery below, you’ll see that Audi has tapped off the corners of the Q5’s grille to make it look like the current model.
What the Germans don’t won’t you to see is the redesigned, hexagonal front grille, which is present on all new Audi models including the 2013 A3 hatchback.
The only other change on this prototype is the redesigned front bumper with modified side vents. Nonetheless, we’re not entirely convinced that this is the final model as Audi may have a few more styling changes up its sleeves that could include the headlamps and perhaps the tail lamps as well.
The prototype’s interior was covered; something that suggests Audi may be preparing some light updates for the dashboard.
As previously reported, the refreshed Q5 will gain Audi’s new 3.0-liter supercharged V6 petrol engine, which delivers from 300PS (296bhp) in the A6 up to 333PS (328bhp) on the S4 models, while the Germans will most likely fine tune the rest of the range.
