For its next project, German tuning house MR Car Design has selected the Opel Insignia OPC sports sedan, which is the European sibling of the Buick Regal GS, though instead of a 270HP turbocharged four and front-wheel drive, the Opel gets a more potent 321hp (325PS) V6 turbo and AWD.
The first thing you’ll notice about MR Car Design’s Insignia OPC is how low it sits to the ground, something that was made possible thanks to a height-adjustable G-Ride air suspension from Reil Performance.
The Insignia OPC now rides on a new set of 20-inch wheels wrapped around in low-profile, high-performance sports tires from Hankook.
There are some under-the-hood modifications as well. After the German tuning firm remapped the ECU and installed a sports exhaust system and a K&N air filter, the 2.8-liter twin-turbo V6’s output was lifted from 325PS (321hp) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) to 375PS (370hp) and 495Nm (365 lb-ft).
