It took Toyota a while to bring it onto the market, but the 2012 Tacoma TRD T|X Baja that was first shown at the 2011 Texas State Fair last September is now available for order with prices starting from $32,990 for the V6 Access Cab, not including an $810 (*) processing and handling fee.
The Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series is offered as an optional limited edition package on both the Tacoma Access and Double Cab 4×4 models at an MSRP of $5,015 minus a $650 Factory Credit, which brings the price down to $4,365.
A 4.0-liter V6 engine linked to a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission powers all models.
The limited edition T|X Baja Series comes with all the goods featured in the TRD Off-Road package such as the electronically controlled locking rear differential, Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), adding a few more extras.
These include BF Goodrich T/A KO tires (LT265/70R16) and bead-lock style off-road wheels in Gun-Metal Gray finish, TRD Cat-back Exhaust, increased front ride height of nearly two inches and the Baja Series graphics on the rear panels.
