We know the seventh generation of GM’s flagship sports car, the Corvette, is just around the corner and that it will arrive sometime in the first half of 2013, but one YouTube user had the unique opportunity to see the car up close and on the road.
The good news is that he was able to film a short clip, the bad news being that he did it with a mobile phone without turning it sideways… Nonetheless, the video is worth 30 seconds of your time.
The prototype was under heavy camouflage but we are still able to see some details such as the four tailpipes, which unlike the current model, are bundled very closely together. The video also proves that the C7 will remain a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car
GM is keeping a tight lid on most things concerning the next Corvette, but we expect to see a new generation of V8 engines in both naturally aspirated and force-fed forms.
