This is a second teaser picture from Ram’s upcoming New York Auto Show debut, which we believe to be the 2013 Ram 1500 truck. The new image appears to show a rotating knob, but we’re not entirely certain.

What we’re sure about is that the company’s bestselling model will incorporate a number of improvements and more importantly, the Chrysler Group’s new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The new powerplant, which should produce around 280-horses in this application, will take the place of the current Ram 1500’s obsolete 210hp 3.7-liter V6 that’s matched to a 4-speed auto.

Ram plans to show two more teaser photos before it lifts the covers off its new model at the New York show on April 4.
