With recent prototypes of the 2014 Range Rover having dropped all of their heavy cladding and simply relying on patches of camouflage to hide the luxury SUV’s styling from the prying eyes of scoop photographers, it was only a matter of time before someone attempted to photoshop the new model.
That someone turned out to be Ivan Martinovic from PS-Garage, who based his rendering of the next generation Range Rover on the latest crop of spy shots.
Even though the 2014 Range Rover will retain the current model’s familiar silhouette and proportions, it will sport some new details like the more rounded front end and a slightly more rakish windshield and rear glass.
It may look like a redesigned model, but the next Range Rover is all new under the skin as it is built around a new pressed aluminum monocoque, which together with the extensive use of aluminum on the body, will make it substantially lighter than the current model.
Other notable highlights will likely include the introduction of Jaguar-Land Rover’s new 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that produces up to 375hp in the upcoming F-Type roadster, as well as plug-in hybrid variants.
