Once upon a time not too long ago, 400 ponies was an impressive figure for any exotic supercar, but these days, even a standard Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate comes with 451-horses (457PS) kicking under its hood.
Still, even that is not enough for Edo Competition, which is why the German tuning firm has presented a new performance package for Merc’s premium station wagon.
The power kit brings a new high-performance exhaust system, exhaust headers, high-flow catalytic converters, air filters, revised engine electronics and a removal of the top speed governor resulting in an output of 592hp (600PS) and an 80Nm boost in torque to 680Nm (501 lb-ft).
Edo Competition notes that the new stainless steel exhaust features a programmable electronic controller that monitors the level of back pressure and opens the integrated 70 mm butterfly valves when a certain threshold is exceeded offering a deeper soundtrack from the V8 engine.
The tuner also installs a new set of 19-inch alloy wheels mounted on high-performance Michelin tires size 235/35 ZR 19 on the front axle and 265/30 ZR 19 on the rear, which are rated for speeds in excess of 340km/h (211mph).
Inside, some of the available goodies include carbon fiber applications and custom leather upholstery.
