While in mainland Europe Chrysler models wear the Lancia badge on their bonnets, in Britain, the American automaker decided to stick to its own brand name.
Making its debut in the UK this June is Chrysler’s flagship model, the second generation of the 300C executive saloon that will become available in two diesel-powered versions.
Both models are motivated by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine churning out 236bhp and 540Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, with the new 300C returning a combined fuel economy of 39.8 mpg UK (33.1mpg US or 7.1lt/100km) and a corresponding CO2 figure of 185-191g/km, depending on wheel size.
The range kicks off with the 300C Limited priced at £35,995 OTR (US$58,507) with standard features including heated front and rear seats, load leveling suspension and height control, LED daytime running lamps, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, active head restraints, and curtain, side, front and rear airbags.
The more luxurious 300C Executive costs £39,995 adding an adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring system, forward collision warning, keyless entry, powered rear sunshade, and heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats to the car’s standard features.
