For as long as Porsche has been producing its acclaimed 911 series, aftermarket tuners have tried to spruce up the sports car’s appearance and at times improve its aerodynamic properties as well, with specially crafted parts.
On its behalf, Porsche tuning specialist Techart is expanding its range of aero accessories for the latest 991 Carrera and Carrera S models in both coupe and cabriolet trims with the launch of three new rear spoilers ranging from a subtle integration to a more pronounced look.
Techart says that all of its available aero parts were designed in the wind tunnel to maximize their aerodynamics properties.
As an example, the German tuner says that the Techart Rear Spoiler II produces a down force of 17.5kg (39lbs) at a speed of 140km/h (87mph) and 76kg (168 lbs) at the 911 Carrera S’ top speed of 304km/h (189mph).
