Last summer, Mercedes-Benz launched a Black Series Edition of its C63 AMG Coupe featuring a more hardcore chassis setup and an uprated 6.2-liter V8 producing 510hp (517PS) to target those that were not impressed by the 451hp (457PS) “standard” model.
As it seems, VÄTH was not impressed with Mercedes-Benz’s proposal either as the aftermarket tuner has developed a new performance package for the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series Edition called V63 Supercharged.
The big bang comes from Väth’s power kit that breathes even more fire into the V8 engine by using a compressor system complete with an in-house manufactured water-charging air cooling system, an ECU remap and a custom exhaust system to bump output to 746hp (756PS) and 800Nm (590 lb-ft) of peak torque.
The complete engine modification costs €38,500 (US$47,900) and allows the AMG coupe to reach a top speed of 350km/h (218mph), while trimming the 0-100km/h (62mph) acceleration time from 4.2 seconds down to 3.6 seconds.
For an additional cost, Väth also provides a complete suspension with 20–65 mm lowering and hardness, as well as with adjustable shock absorbers, a more powerful braking system with 405mm discs, and new 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/30-20 tires on the front and 295/25-20 tires on the rear axle.
Other options include a blacked out grille without the Mercedes-Benz star, a sport steering wheel in leather with carbon or wood trim, and a 400km/h (250mph) speedometer.
