It has been a while since we last heard any news about the third generation Audi A3, but today, the German premium automaker released UK pricing for the three-door hatchback model, while we’ve also added a new photo gallery.
On the road prices start at £19,205 and go up to £26,560, with Audi UK accepting orders now for first deliveries in September.
The redesigned from the ground up A3, which is the first VW Group model to use the new MQB modular platform architecture, will launch with a choice of two turbo petrol engines, a 1.4-liter TFSI with 120hp (122PS) and a 1.8-liter TFSI with 178hp (180PS), plus a 2.0-litre TDI diesel delivering 148hp (150PS).
It’s worth mentioning that the all-new A3 tips the scales at 176 pounds (80kg) lighter on average than its predecessor, pegging the 1.4 TFSI model at 2,590 pounds (1,175kg).
UK buyers can choose from three specification levels named SE, Sport and S line, all of which include alloy wheels, air conditioning or climate control, MMI radio with electrically folding screen, Audi Music Interface iPod connection, Bluetooth interface and navigation preparation.
The SE models are fitted with a more comfort-oriented standard suspension, while Sport and S line versions get a firmer sport setting, with the S Line models offering a no-cost option of an even tauter S line sports suspension.
Additional equipment features on the Sport include 17-inch wheels (instead of the SE’s 16-inch rims), the Audi drive select adaptive dynamics system, two-zone climate control, sports seats, sports steering wheel and aluminium detailing inside and out.
The range-topping S-Line gets 18-inch wheels, S line body styling, xenon headlights with LED daytime running lamps, an S line sports steering wheel and part-leather-upholstered sports seats embossed with the S line logo.
