For the past few years, Ferrari’s worldwide regional chapters have been competing against each other to see which one will set the record for the largest parade of Maranello’s supercars.

Ferrari North Europe had set the Guinness World Record with 385 cars on the Silverstone Circuit during the Ferrari Racing Days in 2007, but lost the title in 2008 after 490 supercars gathered at the Fuji Speedway Circuit in Shizuoka, Japan.

Now, less than three months before it attempts to regain its title on Saturday, September 15, during the Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone Circuit, Ferrari North Europe is well on track to achieving its goal as more than 600 owners have registered their interest since this attempt was announced in February.

“Ferrari North Europe’s ambition is to set a Guinness World Record with 1000 cars, therefore, registrations remain open for the final 400 spaces,” the company said in a statement.

Ferrari has pledged to donate £5 for every car entered into the world record attempt to BEN, which is the automotive industry’s own charity.
