We all know that road rage can escalate to the point of serious physical violence (remember this Brazilian lady or these two men?), but an incident in Port Jefferson, New York, took an unexpected twist when a man posing as a federal agent allegedly arrested the other driver.

The key word here is posing as 39-year-old David Bradley is actually an insurance agent in real life and not an officer of the law.

According to CBS News, police reported that after a road rage incident with a teenage driver, Bradley activated the emergency lights on his Mitsubishi Outlander crossover and pulled over the unnamed 19-year old teen.

Bradley then allegedly exited the vehicle wearing a bulletproof vest, with a badge hanging from his neck and what appeared to be a holstered gun, and pretended to be a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, according to the police.

He then handcuffed the young man, placed him on the crossover’s rear seat and took him to his house in Port Jefferson Station, where he kept him for five minutes, before taking him back to his car!

The following day, the teenage driver filed a report with the police. Unexpectedly, Bradley also showed up to the police station to file a complaint against the young man.

Police arrested him immediately and charged him with unlawful imprisonment and criminal impersonation. Bradley’s lawyer said that his client says the teenager made up the story.

The cops later found out that Bradley has been charged with a similar offence as he allegedly tried to enter a crime scene in May 4 posing -again- as an ICE agent.
