Sharing models under original equipment manufacturing (OEM) deals is not uncommon for Japanese carmakers. The latest project of the sort comes from Mazda, which has rebadged the Suzuki Palette micro-car as the new Flairwagon for the domestic market.
And by ‘rebadge’, we mean it literally as the only difference between the two cars are the Mazda logos.
Even though the new micro-mini tall wagon with the sliding rear doors measures just under 3.4 meters in length, the Japanese company states that it can “comfortably accommodate four adults”.
Like its Suzuki twin, the Flairwagon is available with a 660cc petrol engine and the option of all-wheel drive.
Prices in Japan range from 1,212,750 Yen to 1,499,400 Yen (US$15,300-18,900).
