Centered around a tear coming from the eyes of a middle aged man behind the steering wheel, Mercedes-Benz’s latest spot promotes the new limited production SL65 AMG V12 45th Anniversary.

First shown at the New York Auto Show in April, the special edition was designed to commemorate the AMG sub-brand’s 45th birthday.

Mercedes plans to offer only 45 examples of the car worldwide, with first U.S. deliveries to take place in November this year.

The 45th Anniversary model utilizes the same 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine with 621hp (630PS) and 1,000Nm (737 lb-ft) as the SL 65 AMG, but features unique content including a bespoke matte grey finish for the roadster’s body.
