The estate version of the new Hyundai i30 compact model will go on sale in the UK on the 23rd of July with on-the-road prices starting from £16,195 for the entry-level 1.6-liter Classic and rising to £21,900 for the 1.6-liter CRDi Auto Style Nav.

The i30 Tourer is 185mm longer than its hatchback sibling and offers 150 litres of additional luggage space with the seats up and 326 litres with the seats down for a total capacity of 528 litres and 1,642 litres respectively.

The new model, which like its hatchback counterpart is made in the Czech Republic, is offered with a choice of two engines, a 1.6-liter petrol delivering 118hp (120PS) and a 1.6-liter CRDi diesel unit available with 108hp (110PS) or 126hp (128PS).

According to Hyundai, the 1.6 CRDi 110PS Blue Drive is 12 per cent more fuel-efficient than its predecessor returning 67.3mpg UK on the combined cycle and emits 11 per cent less CO2 at 110g/km.

UK buyers can select from four trim levels starting with the ‘Classic’ that includes standard Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition, multi-function steering wheel, air conditioning and LED daytime running lights.

The ‘Active’ trim adds alloy wheels, cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors, electric rear windows and leather steering wheel and gear knob.

Moving up in the range gets you the ‘Style’ model that comes with dual zone climate control, automatic headlights and front windscreen wipers, front parking sensors and electrically folding door mirrors.

Finally, the ‘Style Nav’ adds touchscreen navigation plus a rear view-parking camera for a £1,000 premium over the basic Style trim.

Hyundai offers two optional packages for the i30 Tourer, the first of which is the £750 Convenience Pack that features keyless entry, engine start/stop button, chrome exterior door handles with illumination, puddle lamps and automatically folding door mirrors.

The second one is the £1,000 Individual Pack that includes leather upholstery, heated front seats plus the ‘supervision cluster with LCD Colour Display’.

In addition, there’s an available panoramic sunroof that costs £950.
