Did you know that Ferrari built a Spider version of its mid-1980’s Testarossa? The Italian automaker commissioned Pininfarina to design and build a single convertible version of the sharp looking supercar as a gift to the late Gianni Agnelli, head of Fiat at the time.
While plenty of Ferrari customers had expressed their interest in a drop top Testarossa after seeing Agnelli’s silver-colored Spider, the Maranello-based carmaker decided against the move citing unresolved spatial and structural problems.
Naturally, when there’s demand, there’s opportunity for money to be made and independent tuners like Straman stepped in to supply the need.
