If you live in London and are curious to see what a $1 million (about £640,140 or €814,300 at today’s exchange rates) electric supercar from a Croatian startup looks like up close and personal, the Rimac Concept_One will make its UK debut at this year’s Salon Privé, held on the 5th to 7th September at London’s Syon Park.
Displayed for the first time in production trim at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the Rimac Concept_One costs as much as three Lamborghini Aventadors and features an electric driveline with four sets of electric motors, placed at each wheel, which produce a combined output of ,073hp (1,088PS) and peak torque of 1,600Nm (1,180 lb-ft).
The Concept_One can accelerate to 60mph (96km/h) from standstill in 2.8 seconds and has the ability to reach a top speed of 190 mph (305km/h). A 92kWh battery provides a driving range of up to 373 miles (600 kilometers).
The Croatian company’s 24-year-old CEO, Mate Rimac, said: “We started with a blank sheet of paper. The idea was to create an exceptional supercar with a new propulsion concept. What we have here is a fully-fledged hypercar that is as powerful as a Bugatti, as stylish as a Ferrari, and as luxurious as a Mercedes, all while managing to forsake even the tiniest sip of gasoline.”
