Another day, another dark video teaser of the third generation Mazda6 sedan, which is also known as the Atenza in Japan.
After showing us the 2014 Mazda6’s fascia, sculpted front fenders and rear quarter styling in the previous clips, in this video, the camera tracks the mid-size sedan model’s profile from the front end all the way to the back.
Lead Mazda designer Akira Tamatani describes the firm’s Honda Accord and VW Passat rival thusly: “Drawing on the untamed vitality of nature, we refined a design that is sensual and artistic. The KODO design expresses the powerful beauty of a living organism. With its low center of gravity the car seems to hug the ground as it sprints along. Just wait until you see it in the flesh!”
The new generation of the Mazda6 sedan, which will debut in Paris this fall, will be the Japanese brand’s second vehicle after the successful CX-5 crossover to fully embrace the SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and Mazda’s ‘KODO’ design DNA.
