We know what you are thinking; a whole post dedicated to an upcoming model’s front bumper?

Well, for starters, it’s not any new model but the replacement to the Corvette C6 sports car, and then there’s the fact that Chevrolet has done a mighty good job in keeping the C7 protected from prying eyes, so whatever we can get is good enough for now.

But what exactly are we looking at in these screen shots and where did this video come from?

What you see here is believed to be the front bumper assembly of the 2014 Corvette, viewed in a video released by automotive supplier Omega Tool Corp. The clip in question was quickly pulled down from Vimeo as soon as it made headlines (but not before several copies were made…), something that clearly suggests we weren’t supposed to see it in the first place.

If accurate, then the design of the C7’s nose will be much sharper and with plenty of edges compared to front of the current model.

The new Corvette C7 is due next year as a 2014 model. It will remain a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car powered by a new generation of V8 engines in both naturally aspirated and force-fed forms.

*Update: Omega Tools Corp. requested that we remove the video shots
