It was five years ago to date that Fiat officially launched the car that would help the Italian brand stand on its feet again, the ‘nuovo’ 500. To celebrate the occasion, Fiat’s German arm has announced a special edition version aptly named “Happy Birthday”
Only 555 copies of the 500 and 500C ‘Happy Birthday’ editions will be offered in Germany with prices starting from €12,900 for the hardtop model and €15,400 for the open-top version.
The ‘Happy Birthday’ models pack an assortment of styling and comfort features such as the vintage-style wheel covers and white finish for the door mirrors and roof antenna, two exclusive to this edition exterior colors and a bespoke key fob.
Air conditioning, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, electric windows, chrome trim and an MP3 / CD-Radio all come fitted as standard.
Buyers can choose from two petrol engines, a 1.2-liter four-cylinder with 68hp (69PS) and the 0.9-liter turbocharged two-cylinder TwinAir rated at 84hp (85PS).
Similar editions are expected to be offered in other markets around Europe as well.
