Perhaps in preparation for the next generation of the Mustang that is being developed from the start to go global, Ford has decided to offer the current model in the Philippines with first customer deliveries to take place in September.

The Mustang will be available in two flavors, the base model with a 3.7-liter V6 delivering 305-horses and priced at PhP 2,499,000 (US$59,900 or €48,800), and the GT fitted with a 402HP 5.0-liter V8 that starts at PhP 2,899,000 (US$69,400 or €56,500).

“The introduction of the iconic Ford Mustang follows our ongoing commitment to continue bringing world-class vehicles to the Philippines,” said Randy Krieger, president, Ford Group Philippines.

“We‘re confident that the Mustang will be an immediate and long-lasting success in the Philippines, attracting many new loyal customers who will be absolutely thrilled to own this fantastic car,” he added.

The Blue Oval’s famous pony car is the fourth vehicle launched by Ford Philippines this year following the all-new Ranger pickup truck, the Explorer 2.0 EcoBoost SUV, and the latest generation of the Focus compact model.
