The Scion FR-S (or Toyota 86 and GT 86, and Subaru BR-Z, depending where you live) is the word these days, be that in the press or the aftermarket industry.
Talking about tuners, two of America’s most active aftermarket companies, Fox Marketing and Stillen, have each made an announcement concerning the FR-S.
Fox Marketing, on its behalf, is building a new “2013 Scion Canada FR-S” with the help of several partners including Yonaka Motorsports, Toyo Tires Canada, WP Pro Brakes, Forgestar, APR Performance, Takata Racing, and Basf Refinish.
Aside from a single rendering, the tuner hasn’t released any other details on the car.
Stillen, on the other hand, wants the whole world to know that is has launched a competition inviting viewers to submit designs of a body kit for the FR-S.
The tuning company will be accepting submissions through August 14, at which point it will select the top five designs for people to vote on via a Facebook poll. The winning design will then enter production.
You can find more details about the contest at Stillen’s official site here.
