Now here’s one bus driver that has a very serious problem with cell phones ringing and passengers accepting calls during the road trip. And by serious we mean kicking your arse off the bus serious…
A passenger on the Greyhound bus that was heading to Washington D.C. recorded this clip in April, 2012, – we assume using his or her mobile phone’s camera.
YouTube user ‘Audorf1’ wrote: “I was on a bus ride back to DC and the driver acted so cranky. First he told a mom to shut up her baby from crying and then he said this nonsense.”
The bus driver makes it clear from the beginning that he now has a new “zero tolerance policy” on cell phone use as well.
“Do not allow your cell phones to ring throughout this bus please as they do and they will disturb Greyhound’s PAYING customers. We are not going to sit up here for four-and-a-half hours listening to cell phones ringing throughout this bus,” he is heard saying in the video.
He then goes on to say what he thinks about some of the phone conversations:
“Your unwanted cell phone conversations, not to mention the nonsense that some of you all talk on them cell phones – I’m talk to you like it as it is, I’m not saying all of you, I’m saying some of them conversations. Pure, pure nothing but nonsense.”
Once he’s done explaining his thoughts about the use of mobile phones he then proceeds to inform the “paying customers” what will happen if they violate the rule:
“And again please don’t do or say anything aboard this bus that will definitely have you taken off this bus out here in the middle of nowhere by state police. There are many small towns out there where Greyhound busses do not come.”
“You will create a serious nightmare for yourself and this is something I, I don’t want to do, but if it’s necessary I do, do it, I’m not bragging about it but if you violate the zero tolerance policy, Greyhound rules regulations and procedures aboard this bus then you will leave me no other choice.”
