The Volkswagen T5 is one of the German tuning industry’s favorite models with dozens of companies offering all sorts of cosmetic and power upgrades for the fifth generation of the Transporter series.
Hartmann’s treat for T5 owners goes by the name “Prime” and promises to enhance the looks and performance of the mid-size Volkswagen van.
Beneath the hood, an ECU kit pushes the 2.0-liter TDI from 138hp (140PS) and 340Nm (251 lb-ft) to 164hp (166PS) and 395Nm (291 lb-ft), and the 2.0-liter BiTDI from 177hp (179PS) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) to 209hp (212PS) and 460Nm (339 lb-ft) respectively.
An available sports exhaust system and an electronic accelerator kit for improved throttle response, along with a sports suspension that drops the ride height by 30mm, round out the performance upgrades.
Hartmann has designed an aero package comprising a front spoiler, side skirts and a rear apron, while also offering several alloy wheel options including the 20-inch rims in 275/35 R20 rubber seen on the demo vehicle.
Notable extras for the interior include velour carpeting with an embroidered Hartmann emblem and carbon fiber décor bits.
