The 2013 model year version of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has arrived in the States with prices starting from $19,170, excluding a destination and handling fee of $825 (Alaska/Hawaii $950), an increase of $375 over the outgoing model.
The biggest news about the 2013 Outlander Sport is that production has shifted to the U.S. and Mitsubishi’s manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.
The exterior revisions to the updated Outlander Sport are modest and include the revamped front bumper and grille, the black side sills and the new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, Mitsubishi has gifted its bestselling vehicle with a fresh assortment of seat colors, new chrome accents and a redesigned All Wheel Control (AWC) push button switch.
Under the sheetmetal, the Outlander keeps its 148hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine linked to a tweaked Continuously-Variable Transmission (CVT), while Mitsubishi engineers have revised the rear multi-link suspension.
