BMW has prepared yet another special edition version of its popular M3 Coupe, with this one created exclusively for the United States in cooperation with the owners of the Lime Rock Park racing circuit located in northwestern Connecticut.
Production of the 2013 M3 Lime Rock Park Edition will be restricted to 200 copies with deliveries planned to begin in September.
Pricing starts at $70,995 including an $895 destination and handling fee, which means it carries a $10,000 premium over the regular M3 Coupe ($60,995).
The Bavarian company says the special edition model has been enhanced with a series of parts that were selected through collaboration with Skip Barber, owner of Lime Rock Park, and his team.
The M3 Lime Rock Park Edition is offered in one and only color, Fire Orange with a carbon fiber composite roof panel and features Anthracite and Black cloth seating with Nappa leather trim
It comes fitted with BMW’s Competition Package, a lightweight inconel-titanium exhaust muffler, carbon fiber front and rear aerodynamic spoilers, and an Anthracite Alcantara-covered, flat-bottom steering wheel.
The car also features a numbered plaque located on the center console and a bespoke decal on the left-rear quarter window, while owners will recieve a certificate of authenticity.
