As the Moscow International Motor show is in full swing, more details are beginning to emerge from automakers as to the future of new vehicles in their lineup.

In particular, Infiniti design chief Shiro Nakamura told Autocar magazine of an all-new Infiniti G-Series (a test mule of which is pictured above) to be displayed at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.

According to Nakamura, the next generation of the premium sedan will carry a new design and powerplant while it will also be “much sportier and much more dynamic than the current car.”

As Infiniti looks to increase both efficiency and sales in the G lineup, the use of a Mercedes sourced four-cylinder gasoline unit as well as a diesel in the European market are likely, rather than the less efficient 3.7-liter V6 currently available.

No details have been given on the styling, but looking through the newly refreshed lineup and concept cars such as the Emerg-E, we can assume a smoother and more streamlined design for future models.

With the next G on display in Geneva, worldwide sales of the new model should follow soon after.
