During a media gathering on the sidelines of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California on Thursday night, Cadillac briefly showed two cropped sketches of an unknown concept model.

When asked by a journalist from Autonews, a spokesman for the wreath and crest brand said that it previews a concept model that will make its world premiere during the 2013 motor show season.

Clay Dean, Cadillac director of advanced design added that the vehicle in question is an attempt for the automaker to “reflect back not for nostalgia, but what made us great at the time.”

The news site attempted to ask Dean if said concept has anything to do with Cadillac’s plans to introduce a flagship full-size sedan to compete against the BMW 7-Series and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but the design director declined to reply.

We know it’s not a lot to go by, but what do you think Cadillac is preparing to show us next year? Place your answers in the comments area below.
