Whether you like or not, you have to admit that, the original Audi TT with its Bauhaus-inspired geometry and arched roofline is a design icon of our time.
That said, it doesn’t really make a lot of sense to try to turn such a unique looking vehicle into something else like a replica of its larger sibling, the R8, which is what the owner of this 2001 Audi TT 1.8T that’s located in Sweden attempted to do.
The transformation from original TT to R8 wannabe includes a variety of parts such as headlamp covers, a new front bumper with triple side air-vents, choppy rocker panels, plastic add-ons behind the front doors, a roof spoiler, a combination of a boot lid spoiler and a rear wing, a modified rear bumper with fake vents and something that looks like a diffuser.
In case you’re interested, the car is listed for sale on Blocket for 70,000 SEK, or about US$10,500 / €8,500.
