After breaking the news on the latest collaboration between BMW and Zagato earlier today, we now have the first official image of the concept model that will make its world premiere at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours in California this weekend.
While we continue to be short on details, the darkened photo leaves few doubts about the type of model BMW and Zagato have prepared.
The study is a Roadster version of the BMW Zagato Coupe Concept displayed at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in May, itself a more stylish coupe variant of the production Z4 hardtop convertible.
It’s hard to tell from this single image, but it looks like Zagato Concept may have dropped the regular Z4’s metal hardtop and gained a double-bubble tonneau cover.
BMW said it will be releasing details on the car later this week, so stay tuned on Carscoop for more.
