Fisker has been through a lot lately – and we’re not only talking about its financial issues but more about the Karma-related recalls and fires.
Fortunately for Fisker, no one had to call the fire brigade during the largest gathering of Karma sedans at the company’s global headquarters in Anaheim, California over the weekend.
The event was organized in cooperation with the world’s highest-volume Fisker retailer, “Fisker of Orange County”, part of the Shelley Automotive Group in Southern California, which has sold almost 100 Karma models since the plug-in hybrid sedan went on sale in December 2011.
Overall, 28 owners from all over Southern California gathered on Sunday with one driving 150 miles from Bakersfield to attend the event at the retailer’s showroom in Irvine before they headed to Anaheim.
“This is the first formal Fisker owner event and we hope to have many more,” told the attendees, Henrik Fisker, Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Fisker Automotive. “Our team has worked hard to make Fisker the first to bring a car like the Karma to market. It was exciting to meet so many who share our vision of environmentally conscious cars that don’t sacrifice power, style or performance.”
