If you take a close look at these pictures, you will probably conclude that the only things that separate this Nissan Micra from the regular model are the “ELLE” magazine badges and the beautiful models (not included in the package) posing around the car – and for the most part, you will be right.
The special edition model, which was evidently designed in cooperation with the famed fashion magazine, is based on the mid-range Acenta model adding certain features such as a panoramic glass roof, chromed accents to the lower part of the grille, chrome interior door handles, fog lamps, a roof spoiler and 15-inch titanium grey alloys.
Buyers can choose from three exterior colors named Shiraz Red, Alabaster White and Atlas Blue, while Nissan says (but doesn’t show us) that there’s a new seat fabric covering.
The ELLE magazine badges make their appearance on the tailgate and front wings, front floor mats and front door guards.
There are two engine options, the 1.2-litre 79hp (80PS) normally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine or the 1.2-liter supercharged unit with direct injection that develops 97hp (98PS) while returning a combined cycle fuel economy of up to 68.9mpg UK.
The Nissan Micra ELLE will be produced in a limited run of 500 units for Britain where it goes on sale on 1st September priced from £12,000.
