This is the first Lamborghini Aventador Spider in the world, sort of. While we’ve seen spy photos of the soon to be released Aventador Roadster being tested by Lamborghini engineers earlier this year, Oakley Design and Refined-Marques decided to put together a topless Aventador of their own beforehand.
Dubbed the Aventador LP760 Spider, this custom chop top model comes with strikingly sharp lines connecting the soon to be removable roof to the body panels of the car.
Although there is not much detail on the upcoming project, we do know that Oakley Design will be adding a host of upgrades including a revamped ECU and an all titanium exhaust system.
Overall, these features should boost the performance by about 60 horses powering the 6.5-liter V12 to upwards of 760hp, and thanks to some added titanium, the Aventador will shed nearly 75lbs (34 kgs) off the standard model’s 3,472 lbs (1,575 kg) curb weight.
Check out the video after the break to see the LP760 Spiders engine shooting some flames out on the dyno.
