Fittingly, Opel and its sister company in Britain Vauxhall will announce prices and begin accepting orders for the new Adam mini on the same day that the car will make its world premiere at the 2012 Paris Motor Show on September 27.

The automaker said that it will also premiere a new internet-based configurator for the Adam in its official websites in several markets across Europe.

Naturally, the Adam will take the spotlight at Opel’s stand in Paris with the German automaker to showcase all three trim models (colorfully named JAM, GLAM and SLAM) and the available technologies such as the “My Media” onboard infotainment system with smartphone connectivity for both, Apple iOS software and Android operating systems.

Measuring 3.70 meters in length, Opel’s new mini will initially be offered at launch with three gasoline engines including a 1.2-litre 69hp (70PS), plus a choice of 1.4-litre engines with either 86hp (87PS) or 99hp (100PS), all of which are mated to a five-speed manual and available with fuel-saving Start/Stop technology.

First deliveries of the Adam in Europe will start in January of 2013.
