A forum member of a Toyota fan club in Saudi Arabia has allegedly captured a trio of revealing shots of the next generation 2013 RAV4 crossover.
The car was covered in a white plastic wrap on the outside with see-through plastics protecting the seats on the inside, which suggest that this may be a dealer model.
The exterior details match what we have seen from the prototypes spotted over the past few months testing on the road, so chances are that this is the real deal.
The new RAV4’s crispier design is very close to the upcoming 2013 Auris hatchback, the official brochures of which were leaked onto the web earlier this summer.
The current iteration of the RAV4 launched in 2006 receiving a mild refresh in 2009. The new model is expected to make its debut as early as this fall before it hits showrooms either towards the end of the year or in early 2013, depending on the market.
Toyota’s crossover model will likely continue to offer a choice of four-cylinder diesel and petrol engines in Europe, and a different four-cylinder gasoline unit for North America, while we still don’t know if the V6 engine will be carried over to the new model.
