A South Korean officer from the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency (BMPA) is making headlines in his country and beyond after footage from a dashboard-mounted camera surfaced online.
The police officer pulled over a minivan near a subway station in the town of Yeonsan for a routine traffic stop when he discovered that the driver had an arrest warrant stemming from a drug charge.
However, the suspicious driver took off, but not before the 34-year-old cop jumped on the hood of the car! The Korean officer, who is said to hold “many martial arts black belts”, managed to climb on the roof as the suspect drove off, where he remained for around 10 miles (16 kilometers) until a fellow cop was able to corner the minivan.
The driver of the MPV quickly exited the car but so did the police officer, who managed to apprehend the suspect.
Now, his colleagues at the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency are calling him the “Police Spiderman”.
