Honda may have released images of the final production version of its 2013 Accord Sedan and Coupe ahead of launch, but it only showed us the exterior of the two cars with the interior remaining a mystery.
Not anymore as a forum member of the Honda-loving Temple of VTEC (TOV) secured what looks like a brochure or perhaps a dealer-intended image of the 2013 Accord’s dashboard with information on the various features.
A few things we noticed is the multi-layered design of the dash with two screens on the center console.
The lower touchscreen unit, positioned between the central air-vents, is for the new HondaLink infotainment system, while the upper, full-color unit for Honda’s Intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) that shows all sorts of information from the Navigation system to trip computer functions.
Another highlight is the newly designed instrument panel with a large center tachometer flanked by two smaller gauges, and the chubbier, multifunction steering wheel with various buttons.
The new Accord will go on sale in North America later this fall with an initial choice of two engines, a new 181hp 2.4-liter inline four and a tweaked 3.5-liter V6, with a 2.0-liter hybrid powerplant (likely to be available only on the saloon) to follow shortly after.
Aside from the first picture of the interior, you’ll also find a video of the 2013 Accord Coupe that was spotted on the street during the filming of a commercial right after the break.
